Directions
Clean both the glass lamp shades and the brass candlestick thoroughly with a soft cloth to remove any dust or grime.
Place the brass candlestick on a flat surface in your backyard where you plan to set up the bird bath. Ensure it's stable and level.
Apply a generous amount of epoxy adhesive to the top of the brass candlestick. Carefully place the amber glass lamp shade on top, ensuring it's centered and level. Allow to dry as per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
Once the first shade is securely attached, apply epoxy adhesive to the rim of the amber shade. Stack the blue glass lamp shade on top, again ensuring it's centered and level. Allow to dry completely.
Apply a thin bead of clear silicone sealant around the seam where the two glass shades meet to ensure water doesn't seep between them.
Let the entire structure cure fully for 24 hours before filling the top shade with water and allowing birds to enjoy your new bird bath.

Variations & Tips
For a more modern twist, consider using clear glass lamp shades and a sleek stainless steel candlestick. To enhance durability, ensure all pieces are securely bonded and consider adding a protective finish to the brass to prevent tarnishing. Personalize by adding decorative pebbles or colored stones inside the shades for added visual interest. For customization, paint the candlestick in a coordinating color to match your garden theme or use solar-powered lights to illuminate the bath at night.
