Instructions

2. Cut the straws to remove the flexible bend section if needed, then trim all the straight sections to the same length so they fit your planned tabletop shape neatly. I like to keep the lengths uniform because the finished pattern looks cleaner and more intentional.
3. Lay one sheet of parchment paper on a flat, heat-safe surface and arrange the straws side by side in tight rows. Alternate the red, white, and blue colors in stripes, checker rows, or simple repeating blocks for a Labor Day look.
4. Place the second sheet of parchment paper directly over the arranged straws so they are fully covered. Make sure the top sheet lies flat to help the plastic fuse evenly.
