Materials
3 tall clear glass jars, 8 to 10 inches high and 3 to 4 inches wide
Instructions
1. Wipe each glass jar inside and out with the microfiber cloth so the finished display looks bright and clean when the lights are switched on.
2. Sort the dried leaves by size and trim off any long stems so they sit neatly inside the jars without curling awkwardly against the glass.
3. Slide a ring of leaves into the first jar, pressing them gently against the inner wall so the colors show through the glass from all sides.
4. Add a small handful of clear vase filler to the center of the jar to help hold the leaves in place without blocking them from view.
5. Repeat the leaf arrangement and vase filler in the other two jars, varying the leaf colors a bit so each one looks natural rather than identical.
6. Nestle one battery tea light into the top center of each jar, resting it securely on the filler so it appears to float above the leaves.
7. Use 3 to 4 clear glue dots around the base of each tea light if needed to keep it centered and prevent it from shifting when the jars are moved.
8. Turn on the tea lights and adjust any leaves that block too much glow, spacing them so the light filters through the reds and oranges evenly.
Variations & Tips
For more sparkle: Mix in a few extra clear acrylic gems or small glass pebbles near the top of each jar to catch and bounce the candlelight.
For a fuller look: Use slightly smaller leaves and layer more of them around the inside wall of the jar; this gives you denser color while still letting light through.
For safer styling: Stick with battery tea lights only. Real flames and dried leaves are not a good combination, no matter how pretty the effect might seem.
