Materials
1 shallow brass desk drawer organizer, approximately 9 inches x 6 inches x 1 inch
Instructions
1. Measure the inside bottom of the brass desk drawer organizer so you know exactly what mirror tile size will fit without forcing the edges.
2. Wipe the organizer interior with a damp cloth and dry it fully so the adhesive will hold well.
3. Clean both sides of the mirror tile with glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth, then set it down on a soft surface to avoid scratches.
4. Place 8 to 12 clear adhesive dots evenly across the organizer bottom, keeping them about 1 inch in from the edges so they do not show through the sides.
5. Lower the small rectangular mirror tile into the brass organizer slowly, starting with one long edge and then easing the rest into place so it sits flat.
6. Press gently at the center and then near each corner to secure the mirror tile to the adhesive without cracking the glass.
7. Turn the tray over and add a felt pad to each corner on the underside so it will not scratch your dresser.
8. Set the finished tray on your bedside table or dresser and arrange perfumes, a jewelry dish, or a small lotion bottle on top.
Variations & Tips
For a snug fit: If your mirror tile is just a hair small, center it carefully and leave an even border all the way around so the finished tray still looks intentional.
For extra hold: If you plan to move the tray often, use thin clear mounting squares instead of light adhesive dots for a firmer bond.
For vintage charm: Choose a brass organizer with a softly aged finish rather than a bright polished one; it gives the tray that old-fashioned vanity-table look I have always loved.
