Instructions
1. Lightly sand the wooden dowel all over, especially the cut ends, then wipe away the dust with a clean cloth so it feels smooth in the hand.
2. Lay each leather strip flat and form it into a loop with the ends overlapping by about 1 inch, making sure the dowel slides through easily without too much slack.
3. Attach two adhesive strips to the overlapped end of each leather loop, pressing firmly so the sticky sides cover the back area that will sit against the wall.
4. Measure and mark two points on the wall where the loops will go, spacing them about 14 inches apart so the 18-inch dowel has a little overhang on each side.
5. Press the first leather loop onto the wall at your mark with the loop opening facing down, then hold it in place firmly according to the adhesive package directions before repeating with the second loop.
6. Slide the wooden dowel through both leather loops and center it so the ends extend evenly past each loop.
7. Fold the hand towel lengthwise into thirds and drape it over the dowel, adjusting the folds so it hangs full and straight instead of bunched up.
8. Give the holder a gentle tug test, then straighten the leather loops and towel one last time so the whole piece looks balanced and polished.
