Instructions
1. Set out the copper bowl, muslin bags, and dried lavender on a clean work surface near the laundry room so you can judge how full you want the station to look.
2. If your dried lavender scent is faint, toss the 4 cups of buds with up to 1 teaspoon of lavender essential oil and let it sit for 10 minutes so the fragrance distributes evenly.
3. Stir in the optional rosemary and chamomile if you want a slightly more layered, clean-linen style scent instead of straight lavender.
4. Open one muslin bag and use the funnel or folded cardstock to fill it with about 1/4 cup of lavender mixture, stopping when the bag feels plump but can still close easily.
5. Pull the drawstrings tight and knot them once so the bag stays secure while still looking soft and full instead of overstuffed.
6. Repeat with the remaining bags until you have 12 filled sachets; this amount gives the bowl a generous, abundant look and leaves you enough sachets to use right away.
7. Tie a short cream ribbon in a simple bow around each bag if you want the station to feel a little dressier and more gift-like.
8. Line the shallow copper bowl with loosely crumpled tissue paper, then smooth it slightly so it creates soft lift underneath the sachets without showing too much.
9. Sprinkle 2 to 3 tablespoons of loose dried lavender over the tissue lining so the bowl smells wonderful even after a few sachets are removed.
10. Arrange the filled muslin bags in the bowl in a rounded mound, placing them upright and angled in different directions so the display looks full and natural.
11. Tuck a small pinch of extra lavender buds between a few of the bags to cover gaps and give the station that lush, finished look.
